Workpackage R5: Sustainable breeder transfer process between CTU, government seed centres and/or private hatcheries approved and implemented.

This workpackage will focus on (i) negotiate and establish an agreement between CTU, CAF and governmental and/or private hatcheries based on an estimation of the selected bloodstock value; (ii) organise continued access of CTU to the selected bloodstock so as to perform future genetic selection programmes; and (iii) negotiate and establish an agreement, including the catfish association, farmers’ cooperatives and the Provincial Services of the MARD, to secure smallholder access to improved genetic strains of striped catfish
